It is, I think, pretty solid. There is too much shadow on the camera right side of her face for the amount of light on her eye, making it appear to glow unnaturally. My guess is that the two eyes are technically similar in luminance, and this is more of an optical illusion type things. Bringing the eye down a notch would elevate this photo a notch in my opinion.
Thank you for the critique. Now that I look at it you are right. The right eye does look brighter than the left even though the shadow is prevalent on the right.
This is a very solid picture! I feel like it needs a little more breathing room though. I feel like if I could see a bit more of her and the background it would be a better composition
Right, if you look at the original image the face is more evenly lit. Seriously I love that you tried recreating it though and think you should try again with some tweaks!
