A portrait of my friend Shahd in my studio, using a parabolic softbox as keylight and a black flag close to the model to add contrast and help sculpt the face from camera left. also used a large umbrella with diffuser at camera back to add a bit of fill. on camera right there were a couple of black v-flats to control the light.
processed in LR+PS with google nik software to enhance the image and add a bit of grain.
please note that it was intentional to direct the light slightly more to the face, for a Rembrandt painterly feel. A Technique I've learned from Chris Knight.

Shot with Fuji XT3 + 50mm f2 lens at f11

I appreciate the subtle, soft way the light falls off on the (camera) right side of her face.
