1.8 - "Needs Work"

This is my son Louis. He is a musician at the Royal Academy of Music in London. I asked him to think about his favourite piece of Bach music for the viloin and he closed his eyes and came up with this look. I used a white background and chose a high key look so he almost merges into the background as he listens to the music in his head.
I used a Sony A1 with Sony 50 mm GM prime. ISO 100 1/250s f/2.8.
Capture one to increase the high key and desaturated look.
Lighting Profoto B10 on 3’ Octabox 45 degrees camera right.
Two Profoto B10 with hard reflectors criss crossing at head hight behind him to create the white background and to avoid flare.

While it may not be for everyone, and not something I have yet tried to shoot myself, I am always fascinated by these overly white portraits and find them interesting. One day I will! I think you did well not completely blowing out the skin; an easy line to cross.
