1.32 - "Snap Shot"

I was trying out my new 2.0xTC, primarily photograhing the architecture at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich. This young lady was pirched right at the start of the colonnades I was trying to photograph, engrossed in a novel (The Woman in Black) and didn't notice me taking my pictures. I approached her to ask permission to include her in my photograph, before I could finish my sentence, she apologised and said she would get out of the way. I replied, 'no, you look amazing, I want to include you in the photograph'. She agreed and continued to read. I proceeded to take other photographs and returned to her after about 15 minutes as I wanted her to get back into her novel. As I had 400mm at my disposal, I could get well back from her so as not to distract her or make her feel self conscious. The light was natural, if a little bright, but I thought t painted the ancient colonnades with an earthy honeycomb tint. Her hair was also dancing about in the light breeze, which added to the natual look of the image.
