"The Queen of climbing plants in search of living space in HafenCity"
When walking in HafenCity (new district in Hamburg, Germany) with my wife the other day, we thought its modern architecture will only benefit from more greenery in the district.
It is essential to embrace and protect biodiversity in cities, especially in the face of the ongoing climate change.
I wanted this photograph to serve as a reminder to city planners and residents that there is always a room for enhancing urban green spaces.
The headpiece was created by wife and is inspired by a Clematis flower, often referred as the queen of climbing plants. Clematises are a variety of beautiful perennial, low-maintenance plants. They are able to thrive in limited spaces and attract pollinators, which makes them a great choice for urban gardens.
Technical details:
The photograph was taken early in the morning with just one reflector. Basic color and tone edits were done in Capture One, dust & scratches filter applied in PS along with some color enhancement of the flower.
