1.81 - "Needs Work"

Taken of me by me using a temporary studio set up in my apartment. Taken on a Sony a7r iii with a sigma 24-70 2.8 mounted on a tripod with a remote shutter.

f5.6 1/160 63mm ISO 100

I used two RGB LED small light panels. I can't remember but judging by the catchlights I must've used an off camera flash to fill in the right side of my face. It would've been an AD200 Pro at 1/256 plus a softbox. I post processed in lightroom just barely to bring up the exposure a small amount and add a vignette.

This was my first time playing around with constant RGB lighting for portraits.

See...clearly people are giving this a 1-star rating since it now shows 1.8 stars out of 5 votes. This is not a "Snapshot" as it has two different light colors and he's clearly posed.

With that said, i did give it a 2-star rating because it looks too dark on my screen. 1.5 more stops of brightness would easily make a 3-star for me.

agree! 1 and 2 star reviews should require a comment and I'd be ok if it reviewer was hidden to avoid retaliation.

Thank you for the support! Yes, definitely not a snapshot. A lot of work went into figuring out the setup and colors that I liked. I personally like the darkness but I didn't take into account how dark it might be on other people's screens. Thanks for the feedback!

Something needs to be done to improve the rating system. Too many people rate 1 star for simply not liking a photo.
