This is a self portrait in Alaska 20 miles North of the Arctic Circle at 25 below zero shot on Kodachrome 64. It was shot with a slow shutter speed and fill flash with a Nikon FM and a 135mm prime. I had been hand digging a hole in the river ice for drinking water. I copied the slide with a 1dx and 50mm 1.8 and an extension tube backlit flash shot through a piece of copy paper.
