I love the noir look and wanted to create a portrait inspired by the film Dark Passage with Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall. A three-light set up, Elinchrom D-Lite 400 strobes, shot with 5D Mark IV, Canon 24-70 f2.8, ISO 100 and edited with Lightroom

Congratulations to the winners!
I'm such a sucker for Black and White especially with a Noir vibe. Did you add the flame to the lighter or is it just the way it was captured?
Feel same! I had a natural flame w/ PS enhanced
would've loved to see it light and have a wisp of smoke - I'm also a sucker for black and white Noir look - very cool!
Thanks Christine!
Have you studied the work of Edward Steichen? Your two images here in the contest remind me so much of his intense blacks and carefully selected highlights. There's a book called "Edward Steichen, In High Fashion, The Conde Nast Years 1923-1937" which I highly recommend.
Yes, classic! Love his work. Thanks for the comment
