Portrait of my beautiful wife and my daughter in the apple orchard on my university campus. I'm particularly pleased with the way the trees frame the subject. Edits include a pretty standard B&W workflow. I pulled down the greens and did some dodging and burning. This was shot with my ultra ghetto setup. At the time a few months ago, I only had a Rebel Xsi and a kit lens. I also happened to have an old Nikon SLR with a nifty fifty f1.8. I jerry rigged an adapter thin enough so that I could put it on the Rebel and still focus to infinity. The challenge was further complicated with a baby who was screaming her head off.
