This photo was taken a year after I got my first camera during a day-long photography workshop sponsered by American Photo Mag and Sigma. It was shot with a Canon REBEL T3i using a Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 set to 70mm. The camera settings were 1/60s, f/7.1, ISO 100.
I'm unsure of the lighting setup because it was 10 years ago and the workshop had all the lighting preset for the students.
For post-processing, I corrected the colors in Capture One and exported it to Photoshop. There, I filled in the background to make it completely black; cleaned up the hair, skin, and outfit; and finally applied some contrast as a curves-adjustment along with the "Kodak 5218 Kodak 2383 (by Adobe).cube" LUT.
