L’Hemisfèric (Spanish: El Hemisférico) is a cultural building, planetarium and cinema in the Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias in Valencia, Spain.
The building was designed by Santiago Calatrava and opened on April 16, 1998 as the first building of the City of Arts and Sciences on the drained Turia riverbed. The architect conceived the building as an oversized human eye - the eye of wisdom, which is intended to symbolize the audiovisual experiences of visitors when watching the performances. The 100-meter-long oval roof houses a 3D IMAX cinema hall and the surrounding Carl Sagan Perimeter Ring, named in honor of the American physicist. The entire building is surrounded by a 24,000 m² water area.

I photographed the building late in the evening. With tripod
Camera: Canon EOS 5D, aperture: f/11.0, ISO: 400, exposure time: 2.5 sec, focal length: 45 mm.
I developed the image using Camera RAW from Adobe. I swapped the sky for a sunset. The building's gray tin roof converted to copper colors. I also added a person to the picture and intensified the colors on the building.
I edited the images in Photoshop and edited the colors using the Nik Filter Collection.

Futuristic vibe and engaging colors. The image kept my eye moving around long enough to finally see the person standing inside. Makes me wonder what kind of building this is.

As I already mentioned in the description of the picture, it is a cultural building. It has a planetarium and a 3D IMAX cinema hall.
Thank you very much, Joni, for your kind comment. Greeting Herbert
