Very little lighting or processing done here. All natural light, single exposure with a flag held to block a harsh reflection on the fireplace.
Used the home's caretaker as a model to bring some life to the image.
Maybe I'm being too artsy-fartsy, but I feel the lack of a head/face and the fact that he's going upstairs (combined with the moody shadows) gives us a nice mysterious mood.
