2.29 - "Needs Work"

This is a Clarion hotel located in the Hamnen (harbour) area of Helsingborg, Sweden. Helsingborg went through its first boom time in the early 1900s. It's more recent boom was in the last 20 years, where the harbour area has been reclaimed with plenty of modern buildings being erected. This Clarion - one of two in the city - is a popular venue for business conferences, etc.

The image was shot on my Leica SL2 with a Leica 16-35mm SL lens. No filters. It's a 5-image bracket that was combined into a HDR file.

This image was made at dawn. There is no artificial lighting. Processing included a first pass through Lightroom for HDR blending, exposure, and geometry, then into Photoshop for spot healing, a 30% gradient map and a warming filter. It then went back into Lightroom for final exposure tweaking, a contrast curve, some negative clarity and sharpening before export. My standard workflow.
