The last time the construction site was accessible to the public, I managed to bring a camera, two lenses, and a compact tripod without any issues, despite the place being notably crowded. Additionally, there are exclusive tours available that offer more time and a more intimate experience with just a few people (this is where the contest picture was taken). For these tours, I opted to bring only my camera, leaving the tripod behind, as photography isn't the main focus.
