I discovered this location accidentally by driving by and saved the location in my GPS so I could come back in the Fall. I set up my camera on a tripod and waited for the wind to die down, which is occasionally did. This is an HDR stack of 3 images + and - 1 stop from the camera's suggested exposure.
Known only as the Old Stone Church, it is located in West Boylston, Massachusetts. It was built in 1891 on a hill to serve the Baptist community nearby. 10 years later the valley was flooded to create the Wachusett Reservoir and more than 1,700 residents were relocated. The church held its last service in 1902 and was stripped of its interior. In 1973 it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
