Shot with a Canon AE-1, Tamron 70-210mm telephoto zoom, Kodak Gold 400 Film. I scanned the negative with a Canon 9000F Mark II flatbed scanner.
The exposure was 1 or 2 seconds on tripod. At the time, I experimented a lot with long ethereal exposures, and I often would shoot late at night to capture light and movement. However, this image was shot early evening, close to sunset time, but it was mostly just dreary weather. I liked this moment because it wasn’t overrun with tourists, but the few that were there gave the photo some life.
The image was refined in Photoshop. Because of the long exposure, it was a bit overexposed. It wasn’t as straight on as I would’ve like, so I corrected the tilted perspective to have the background building a straight-on appearance.
