My father in the early stages of dementia is beginning to forget me
And my brother. I brought my Nikon d810 to Christmas and snapped this photo of him at the end of the night as he stood under the overhead light for our kitchen table. It was good to see him smile but makes me wonder how long he will even remember who I am. This picture serves as one of the last Christmas I will share with the father I’ve known my whole life.
