I took this photo in October 2023 in the Pieniny Mountains (Poland). One evening, I stopped at a viewpoint overlooking the Tatra Mountains. The Tatras themselves were not visible; they were covered by clouds. Instead, my attention was drawn to a hill illuminated by a slanting ray of sunlight breaking through the clouds. The photo was taken handheld, without using a tripod. The only filter used was a polarizing filter. It was processed in Capture One.
