Last year my wife and I made a big move in our lives and bought a house and moved to Calgary for her work. We have no family or friends here and decided to take the leap in starting a new life in a new city. We've always loved the outdoors and the mountains and finally being in a city that's only an hour away from the mountains instead of a flight away from them has been amazing since where we lived before in southern Ontario does not have anything close to a mountain. Anytime we're out and a bout just being able to see the mountains from the city has been so inspiring and makes us want to go out (with our dog!) too and explore them any chance we get.
This is actually a 30ish shot panorama, using the Tamron 28-200mm F2.8-5.6 lens, at 200mm. I set it on a tripod framed my wife and dog (who was just a little over a year old at the time) in the shot, set the camera on interval shooting ran back to her to hold her hand and just let it get several frames making small adjustments like moving a little closer together, further apart. Once I got at least a dozen or more shots I ran back and just started panning the camera around to make the panorama.
Last side note is that this was actually our 14 year anniversary photo, we have a little tradition of doing a panorama of ourselves holding hands every year (minus the first and second year). I have them pinned on my Instagram page but its been a fun thing I like doing every year.
