For much of my life, I drove by some ponds along a freeway in Washington State, on my way to or from 'better destinations'. One day, nature called as I passed, so I pulled off the freeway and discovered these little gems up close. It has become a favorite place for fall photos. With a forecast of frost and mostly clear skies, I made my way there last November to find the last of fall color and an ethereal wonderland.
