This is an iconic location - Pano of Half Dome and the mountains above Yosemite Valley, taken from Glacier Point. What makes this special for me is that I have wanted to take this image since I started thinking about compositions. What makes the pano work is the thin band of fabulous light that covers half dome and all the peaks in the background. I was in the bay area for a work trip, the Sunday opened up, and I drove to Yosemite on a whim, drove straight to Glacier Point, and the clouds were just unrelenting. I just decided to stay until as late as I could (I had to be back in SF for a 9am meeting, so there was a drive back to consider), and then this band of light came. So glad I went, and so glad I stayed.

Technical Details: Shot on Sony A74 with a 24-70mm lens, shot at ~70mm, 0.25 sec at f/10. Panorama of 5 images and editing in Lightroom.
