In the early hours of a chilly November morning, I set out for a hike near my hometown, but dense fog blanketed the landscape, changing my plans. Instead, I grabbed my Nikon D5600 and ventured out to capture the moody atmosphere. As I drove towards the mountains, I was stopped by a breathtaking scene, a moment I’d never witnessed, despite countless trips past this lake. The sun began to rise, casting a soft golden light across the left side of the frame, while the right side remained frozen in shadow. The fog was just starting to lift from the lake’s surface, creating a divide between light and cold and between the mountain and the reflection. Within minutes, the scene had vanished, but I was lucky enough to capture this fleeting moment, where nature’s elements came together in perfect harmony.
