Flamenco in
Spain is more than just waving fans and frilly dresses. It is a culture deriving in the most part from the gipsies and cultured and practised mainly in the southern part of Spain. In each of the regions (mostly to the south of Madrid) they have their own brand of music. Following that they have their own dances and songs. Flamenco music and song (and in turn reflected in the dance) encompasses so many emotions-both tragedy and also happiness. In these modern times there is much flamenco to be seen but a great deal is comercialised spectacles for turism. I was lucky enough to have been able to find "the real thing" and this photo is from one of those performances. Taken on Sony A77 and edited with ON1
