I wanted this portrait to whisper rather than shout, so I carved out every distraction—backlighting her against a field of pure black and letting the veil become the sole stage. The side-feather of jasmine, the latticed blouse, the sliver of profile: each detail hints at a fuller story without revealing it outright. Shot at f/1.8, the shallow plane melts the background and turns the veil’s sequins into a constellation of bokeh, a visual metaphor for the possibilities ahead.
