This is an image of Teresa while we were taking a break from our hike in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico where we were staying at my friend's house. We had stopped along the edge of a lake filled with all sorts of tall grasses. Standing above her, I saw what I'd hoped would be an interesting portrait, and when the slide film was processed back in the states, I wasn't disappointed. It didn't require any post-processing. The real challenge was gathering up our gear and making a fast getaway to safety as a giant water buffalo took a sudden interest in us and was quickly bearing down upon us. Apart from the pictures I took of all the local color, this was far and away my favorite.
