I often like to just grab my camera and go for a photo walk/adventure and that was what I was doing when I captured this shot. It was a nice day so I grabbed my Canon Rebel T5i with EF-S 18-135mm IS STM lens and went for a walk around my neighborhood in Oregon City, OR. There is this cool park with a scenic lookout called Waterboard Park that I like to photograph in and as I got to the lookout there was a group of High School girls just fooling around, and this redhead, who seemed to be the leader of the group, jumped up on the lookout's stone railing and was doing all kinds of poses for her friends, and I just started shooting away also. I really liked her confidence and fearlessness, it was a 50 FT. drop-off on the other side of that stone railing but she didn't seem to have any fear as she was doing all kinds of poses, yet I was kind of nervous for her, and I think that confidence and fearlessness of youth comes through in this portrait photograph, plus her coolness of style and long legs and red hair all make this portrait stand out for me. Canon Rebel T5i, 18-135mm @ 35mm, f8, ISO 100, shutter priority, center weighted average.
