Taken at the Weald & Downland Open Air Museum in England, where ancient life is preserved and brought to life again by passionate academics and re-enactors. This lady, The Crafty Beggars, has studied ancient manuscripts to rediscover the lost art of English felt making, and creates hats from the raw materials that are far better than modern felt hats. The photography was simple in the sense that simplicity is something to strive for. A longer lens compresses perspective, a tripod keeps everything consistent and the framing of a mediaeval shop is deliberate.
