“Morning Stretch” - Vancouver Island, BC
While on a quiet morning walk along the beach, these evenly spaced trees caught my eye. I decided to experiment with intentional camera movement (ICM) to capture something different — a more abstract, painterly take on the scene.

It took about 15 tries to get the right combination of shutter speed and gentle vertical motion, but the result was worth it. I love how the pale trunks stretch upward and stand out against the darker forest backdrop, while the soft green base still anchors the image in nature.

A refreshing, creative detour from my usual landscapes — a reminder to play and explore.
