“Salty Pickleweeds” - Calgary, BC
From above, patterns emerge that feel more like paintings than landscapes.
On the first stop of our cross-country road trip near Calgary, I noticed a patchwork of saltwater fields stretching across the landscape. Pickleweed shrubs were beginning to turn red with the season, creating a vivid contrast against the yellowish-greens. From the air, you could see the divide—some still lush, others already shifting. It looked like brushstrokes on canvas, but it was pure, untouched nature.

I’d have this on my wall, looks like a Rothko
Cool. Thanks for sharing the artist Rothko. Got some new inspiration to tickle my brain.
