“Salty Pickleweeds” - Calgary, BC
From above, patterns emerge that feel more like paintings than landscapes.
On the first stop of our cross-country road trip near Calgary, I noticed a patchwork of saltwater fields stretching across the landscape. Pickleweed shrubs were beginning to turn red with the season, creating a vivid contrast against the yellowish-greens. From the air, you could see the divide—some still lush, others already shifting. It looked like brushstrokes on canvas, but it was pure, untouched nature.
