Gravity’s Echo
In this image, form and motion dissolve into abstraction. Steel ball bearings plunge into water, their descent captured at a split second with a Canon R5 and an 85mm f/1.2 lens. I used three Profoto D2 strobes in freeze mode to arrest the motion precisely—without burst shooting—relying instead on instinct and timing. The bubbles form naturally around the metal, a visual result of oxygen and density at play. What emerges is not just an action frozen in time, but a study in fluidity, texture, and shape—an abstract expression of physics made visible.
