Evening Swim

This image was shot in the late afternoon/ early evening. I was entranced by the clouds reflecting the reddish light of the fading sun and wanted to capture the color over the deep blue of the breaking waves.

Shot at 2 seconds, f/16 at ISO 100, I had captured the colors and the motion of the waves. But the image still felt empty. This frame was immediately made after the first frame, when the family slowly drifted into the frame. I used a zoom blur, and slight ICM to capture the image.

The equipment used was my Canon 7D, with a Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 lens, with the White Balance set to Daylight.
