This is the roof of an industrial building in Milan, Italy. What you see isn’t a computer motherboard, but rather a complex air conditioning system with all its pipes and pumps. I specialize in artistic industrial photography, and while preparing for my 2024 trip to Italy, I found this location on Google Maps. It turned out to work just fine, and now I’m looking for other similar roofs across Europe. Soft light is key for capturing these complex structures, as it helps avoid shadows that could ruin the entire composition. Shot with a Mavic 2 Pro and edited in Lightroom.
