Title: Edge of Light
Description:
This photograph was captured at sunrise, inside my studio. I had just walked in when I noticed the soft morning light filtering through the roller blinds. They diffused the sun in a way that transformed an ordinary view into something mysterious and atmospheric.
What drew my attention was the way the sunlight flared just off the edge of a nearby building, creating an almost celestial burst—contrasted by the eerie, silhouetted trees on the right. The atmosphere felt simultaneously peaceful and uncanny, like the last frame of a dream before waking.
I shot this using the lens that happened to be on my camera—a 150-500mm zoom. Framing it at 150mm gave the image a strong sense of compression, flattening the elements into a layered abstraction. The result is a conceptual "landscape" that challenges perception: undefined forms, blurred silhouettes, and light as both subject and metaphor.
