I took this photo in 2021 while walking along the Bogue Inlet Pier in Emerald Isle, North Carolina.
I was too lazy to get my ND filters out so I cranked up my f/stop to get a slower shutter speed. It was shot at f/20, iso 50, 1/6 sec at 180mm. I used a panning technique, panning my camera from left to right while clicking the shutter button to take this.
From atop of the pier I waited for sets of waves to come in. When a wave started to get close to my position on the pier I started my panning motion from left to right and held down the shutter button the while I was panning firing off multiple shots.
I only did a couple of attempts before I got this. I was happy with it so I moved on to photographing some birds while waiting for sunset. Looking back I wish I would have done some more attempts. I need to do some more of this type of stuff the next time I'm out there.

Man this is trippy. I like it.
Thank you!
1/20 — great decision. Perfect.
