On a walk in the local woods, just shooting and have fun when I saw these leaves sticking out over the well trodden path. I just shot it really without any forethought. When I was editing I removed the stems to make the leaves appear as if they were falling. It reminds me of the Chinese proverb 'Falling leaves always return to their roots'.

I used a Nikon Z 50 with a Viltrox 33mm f/1.4 AF in natural light.
