I took this picture with a Nikon Z8 with a Nikkor 24-70 mm lens (49 mm; 1/40 sec.; f 7.1; ISO 180) at the dock in Bartlett Cove, Glacier Bay, Alaska. We were on a Nat Geo Lindblad Expedition, and I was returning to the ship after a hike when I noticed how the mooring cleat seemed to glow against the blue hull in the evening light. On a day where I had gotten pictures of a calving glacier, grizzly bears, and puffins, this one ended up being one of my favorites.
