This is a re-edit for this contest of "The Glory Window", found in Thanks-Giving Square, downtown Dallas, Texas, taken in 2018.
This was a significant weekend for me in my photographic journey. It was the weekend I took my first DSLR out of AUTO Mode and straight into Manual Mode. I would encourage new photographers, who were like me and overwhelmed with all the buttons, menus and features of their first "real" camera to get to Manual mode as quickly as you can, learning can take off when you do. That was my experience, don't let fear hold you back!

Nikon D500 w/ kit lens AF-S 16-80mm @16mm, f/3.5, 1/400s, ISO 1600
Edited in Capture One 23.
Significant challenge for me to balance the light shooting directly into bright LEDs.

The often photographed spiral stained glass ceiling is a work of art by French artist Gabriel Loire, installed 1976. (credit thanksgiving.org)
