Sony A7 II with 90mm f/2.8 Macro lens - 1/160th of a second at f/20
Self assignment that I wanted to try of capturing soap bubbles up close and the psychedelic colors that form on the surface. I found it challenging at first between trying to get the bubbles to form and to use the right amount of light and from which angle. In the end I cross lit the bubbles from 90 degrees from camera using two strobe lights in soft boxes. The other challenge was that the bubble patterns moved and so I had to use a faster shutter speed, and lastly the bubbles did not last long before popping so I could only get a few frames off before they burst. I did these in a small studio and used a plain black matte paper backdrop.
