Taken at Elephant Mountain in Taipei. I arrived a bit late because the taxi driver dropped me off at the wrong location. When I reached the base, I had to quickly climb the mountain to get to this viewpoint, only a few minutes after sunset. I was covered in sweat, but I knew I would miss the shot if I stopped to rest.

In post-processing, my main goal was to emphasize the contrast between the warm sunset glow on the horizon and the cooler twilight tones settling over the city. I boosted the vibrance to bring out the colors and I selectively enhanced the magentas in the sky to match the mood I experienced while rushing up the trail. I also cooled the shadows in the buildings to help balance the warm lights of the city and make the overall palette feel more dynamic. Overall, the edits were focused on enhancing the vivid twilight colors that made this scene feel so alive in person.

Taken with Sony A7C II and Tamron 16-30mm F2.8 G2.
