"Wind in the marshes" was taken in May 2026 at the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge in New York. To create the windswept look, I panned moved my camera slightly to the left and up. I was trying for more an impressionistic look than abstract. I've been working with intentional camera movement for a few years, ever since I discovered Eva Polak's work. I've also studied briefly under Olga Korlovac. I used my Nikon d750 with a Tamron 70-300 mm lens at 70 mm. Other settings were .25 sec. and f/32.
