My wife and I were visiting friends in Gowanda, New York and decided to stop at Zoar Valley Gorge. This is a view looking across Cattaraugus Creek. I used a 4" shutter speed as I slowly moved upward with a tight circular motion. The movement gives the image an impressionistic painterly feel. I learned this technique from Kaisa Sirén's and Morag Paterson's online ICM Photo Academy. This was taken with my Nikon d750 fitted with a Nikor 50mm lens. My aperture was f/7.1 and ISO 50.
