This image was captured during a protest march in the Covid era. Experimenting with hand-held long exposures this image was shot at 1.6 seconds, f8, focal length 200mm on a cropped sensor.

The goal throughout was to capture only the essence of the scene in front of me, choosing impressionism over stark reality.

The challenge in this image was to capture just the right amount of detail in the moving subject to maintain its form, whilst losing all background detail.
