This is an image created by capturing the motion of stars across the sky all night long. It happened that it was also during the Perseid meteor shower in 2016 and one of the meteors crossed into view during the shoot, so there's motion captured there, too. Due to the desert haze, the image has an orange-yellow cast to it, which I quite like so I didn't adjust it. Nikon D7100, f8, 30 sec exposures, ISO 800. 700+ photos. Stacked with StarStaX software. Death Valley, CA, one of the darkest skies in the US.
