This is a shot from a test shoot with a dancer in a natural light studio. It was a very simple setup- just a 9 ft. white seamless backdrop placed about 10 feet from a big window with indirect light coming through. I set the shutter speed to 1/20, which gave me ISO 125 at f/5.6. I shot with a 24-70mm lens so that I could quickly respond to the dancer's movements and get different framing options. This particular shot was at about 50mm. Then I just pumped some good music, let her move, and tried to pick out interesting moments. No photoshop, just a black and white conversion in Capture One.
