A Quiet Exploration of Early Morning Film Shooting

Cinestill, creators of the fabulous CineStill films and chemicals, have come out wth the first episode of their new "CineStill Frames" series, showcasing different photographers and their work. This first episode featuring Ben Parks is a dreamy, quiet exploration of the early morning.

I always find it interesting when brands begin creating content, especially when it's incredibly well done, with interesting content to boot. Yes, the cynic in me says that it's just an eight minute ad for CineStill, but who cares? It's like a breath of fresh air in today's world of overly-long spec videos, and talking about which lens is two percent sharper than another. Don't get me wrong, those videos are entertaining too, however a video looking into the process of an artist, what inspires them, and how their mind works are definitely some of my favorite videos.

It's fascinating to see photography that is so unique as well. Park's landscapes look like paintings, which makes sense that his past vocation was just that. He has an incredibly unique point of view that makes me excited to see more of this series. What did you think of the video? Did you think it was boring or fascinating? I personally was gripped by it; Park's voice was soothing and I love hearing about processes and inspirations.

Fascinating and very inspiring! And I totally agree with him about the quirks and flaws of old cameras.
Thanks for sharing this awesome video!
