Affordable Cinema-Style Lenses That Can Help Create Beautiful Visuals

If you're looking at getting into filmmaking or just want to make your videos look cinematic, a lot may hinge on the lens choice, and that can be tricky to resolve. In this video, take a look at a range of lenses that could take your videos to the next level.

You wouldn't need to venture far into my catalog of articles to realize I love cinematography and it has always been an inspiration in my photography. However, the was a stage where I looked at switching to doing more video work and I was excited to approach it in the way of a cinematographer — I naively thought that might be a niche. Then, I looked at the prices of dedicated cinema lenses and I realized it was silly to whinge about photography lens prices.

Fortunately, the thing about this industry is that everything becomes more accessible over time — true of all technology really — and that appears to be the case with the DZOFilm lenses that Vuhlandes discusses in this video. I warn you, they're only "affordable" in context, but would you look at that quality?

I'd also like to add that Vuhlandes is one of my favorite creators in the space and has been battling leukemia, still somehow finding the energy to create videos while receiving chemotherapy. Vuhlandes is a true hero and I wish him the smoothest of recoveries.
