I worked with a stylist and a wardrobe/fashion rental company to create a studio fashion test recently. The concept was menswear inspired women's fashion. I was particularly excited about shooting with the oversized black satin bow as an element. It proved to be more difficult to manipulate than expected. The models, however were beautiful and easy to work with. They were both Brazilian and signed to the same division at Ford Model Mgmt but hadn't met each other. I used a hand-painted muslin that I purchased from a backdrop artist who was selling off some of her rental inventory two years ago. It is probably my favorite of the dozen hand painted backdrops I purchased from her. I captured these images with a combination of my D800 and D3x using the Zeiss Otus 85mm, the Nikon 85mm PCE and 105mm DC. One image uses the tilt function of the PCE lens to alter the focus plan. All of the lighting was from the giant Plume Wafter 200 close to the models on camera left. I used an egg crate grid over the softbox in two of the images.
I think you and your team have done a superb job. The models are stunning, the clothes look great, the background is very good too, as is your lighting and overall photography. Nice job.
What's the fashion rental company? I love the wardrobe a lot! (of course the images are great too)
Damn, I wish I had wardrobe stylists or clothing designers near me... bah! My only real option is to either buy the clothing from the massive amount of chain stores I got around me or rent the runway. Even the chain stores wouldn't have these types of wardrobe sadly :-\
The garment are fantastic and nice images
WOW! I would like to do this as well one time. My inspiration would be the wardrobe and styling at http://www.gingerandsmart.com/ and https://www.gucci.com/au/en_au/ . Lots of beautiful stuffs in those websites.
