What is contrast mapping? Might it have effected her eyes?
I don't know what you dodged and burned but from your comments I guess not her eyes. They seem to need holding back regardless of whatever photoshopping has, or has not, been done. They are obviously lovely but just too much in this image. In other words even though you have not used PS to add contrast to her eyes I feel you need to use it to moderate the contrast that is there.
I understand that she has bright eyes but we are not seeing her eyes, we are seeing your photo of her eyes. They look too contrasty in the photo.
Very often photographer add contrast to eyes, usually too much, and they do this hoping to make the eyes look better. Here it is the other problem, they need to have less contrast in the photo, to look better.
So is contrast mapping a secret? We are all trying to learn, and sharing knowledge, opinions, and experience is how it works. Please explain.
Me too. It is just lovely. I suspect her eyes have been over Photoshopped but otherwise very nice in deed.

Contrast mapping is my developed technique. Yhe eyes are same as on original photo, I sad before girl have very bright eyes.

I think it's a pretty solid shot, I just can't personally really classify it as dark. I'd say editorial, but it's just to soft and clean to be dark.
