Here is my entry, hopefully I can compete even in the slightest with the incredible landscape photos I've already seen. It brightens my day to see such amazing photos on a daily basis here at Fstoppers!
This was taken at the south rim of the Grand Canyon, at Mather's point one early morning while I was there. We were only there for one night and one morning, and of course our journey was hampered with an incoming snow storm. With hesitation I got up at about 5:45am to venture to mathers point in an ice storm like a good canadian would. However the car we had rented had summer tires, causing the roads to be a little bit more than slick. I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone else to go driving in an ice storm in a rental car!
Great little back story! The view looks phenomenal and you captured it beautifully.

This picture is taken close to Rovaniemi, Finland somewhere in the beginning of January. I've been here in Rovaniemi on an exchange semester (that almost has come to an end now...) and I've been blown away by the amazing scenery here. Especially in winter, you can get the most beautiful views here. It's just getting back to nature and enjoy. with or without a camera. Because sometimes it's nice to be there without the "stress" of getting the perfect picture.

Mammoth Lakes, CA is known for its beautiful ski resort & large open trails. I've been privileged enough to spend a few weekends every year during the winter season. Since the snow wasn't great this year we decided to drive out to the hot springs which is located 20 minutes outside of Mammoth. It's a sanctuary in the middle of nowhere.

Where are you captain ?
Wow this is really cool. I'm curious to see what the snapshot photo of this location looks like. Very interesting
Snapshot's relatively uncool :D
There's a lot of distractions in the background ( carrier ships and houses ), and the shore is an uninteresting flat puzzle of rocks of boring color.
I've got a short "time-lapse" from the same place, you can see it here:

Oh I know the snapshot will be really boring but I think that's what makes it interesting. No shame in showing how common a location is before you add your touch to it....that's what makes photographer's great
