Hoffer Photography is comprised of Tony and Amy Hoffer, who are amazing wedding photographers located in Philadelphia. Yesterday Tony posted a blog and it wasn't just any blog, it was the best kind: the sarcastic kind. The text caption was "ever since the dawn of the internet, the photography community has been a supportive network that’s willing to forgo their competitive nature and put their egos aside in order to give thoughtful and constructive critique," and I was sold.
Although I've been friends with Tony on the internet for a long time, and we live a mere three hours away from each other, we've never met. But besides the awesome photos he posts, his smart-ass statuses are always on pointe. So naturally, I knew that the critique he made was going to be pure gold before I even read it. Tony has been a wedding photographer for about 7 years, and over those years he's noticed that the climate with the photography community has got more and more tense. The critiques people used to give were well thought out and in depth, but now they're filled with so many "this is the best photo ever" to "this is the dumbest picture I've ever seen." There's no common ground any more, no purposeful process. Thus, Tony came up with this perfect illustration.
It's not like this everywhere, G+ has a lot of great communities where people can submit photos and get legitimate constructive criticism, this is like a troll chart...
hence why it says sarcasm :)
This is the internet, I don't believe you.
Now thisis a witty post, mr Dayley...try to learn from it...
if anybody here wants a real crit id suggest going to school for photography or applying for a portfolio review at the next photo festival. I have gained international representation by doing so.
What a lame post. Fstoppers is going down hill fast. Where are the original posts? Ever since the iPhone fashion shoot, this blog has sucked. Clearly fstoppers is paid by/ partners with Hoffer photography. Why not cover blogs you don't like? You guys are such sellouts. You would rather make billion$$ on lame posts like this, than put out something good.
Fstoppers = the National Enquirer of photoblogs.
Bravo! LOL. Beautiful sarcasm.
Thank you.
It is kind of a comments "greatest hits".
Love it!
